Our Philosophy |
BrainChild's teachers guide students to discover opportunities within themselves by encouraging them to approach problems systematically and critically. Our goal is to motivate and encourage students to learn in a way that is both rewarding and enjoyable.
We believe that each student has individual needs that require individual attention. We always make the best effort to provide excellent care for each individual student. At BrainChild, our programs are unique in that they all incorporate discussion of real-world issues. Through this method, students can develop the critical thinking and communication skills needed to thrive in the modern world—in academics and in future careers. Our programs are designed to build a comprehensive foundation of skills from which your child can draw and apply to new situations. Brainchild provides the environment and tools for the students to build confidence in making their initial steps towards a bright future. |
Our History |
BrainChild Langley had humble beginnings in 2005 at a small location with only 20 students. Its current director, David Jung, was a star teacher himself in his youth in Korea. He saw a need for a burgeoning tutoring service in the Langley area, connecting families new to Canada to the education system.
BrainChild's capacity grew quickly to over 150 students coming from elementary and high schools all over the lower mainland. Our programs expanded to include the now popular debate program, in partnership with the BC Forensic League Association. In 2014, we moved to our new larger location in the Walnut Grove area to accommodate our thriving community of students, parents, and teachers. |
